Shanghai Nuclear Power Office Director Lu Haibin Visits Energy Singularity

On August 4, 2022, Lu Haibin, Director of the Shanghai Nuclear Power Office, visited Energy Singularity. He was accompanied by Wang Xun, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Nuclear Power Office, and other responsible comrades from the office.

The company's founder and CEO, Yang Zhao, reported in detail to Director Lu Haibin about the company's development and the progress of the first high-temperature superconducting tokamak device (HH70) research and development. Director Lu Haibin inquired with concern about the difficulties and problems that still exist in the company's operations, expressing his commitment to provide support for the company's development and to help the company solve problems with care and dedication.

Director Lu Haibin pointed out that fusion reactor nuclear power plants are the third step in China's three-step nuclear power development strategy, and Shanghai should participate more deeply in the fusion field and play a greater role. He hopes that the company will seize opportunities and accelerate development, focusing on the innovative cutting edge and international frontier of controllable nuclear fusion technology research and development, grasping the breakthrough of key core technologies, and promoting the development of the fusion energy industry.

Director Lu Haibin and his delegation subsequently visited the company's high-temperature superconducting magnet laboratory. The company's co-founder, Li Zhuyong, introduced the company's high-temperature superconducting magnet research and development progress to Director Lu Haibin.
