On October 7, 2023, the main system of the Honghuang 70 tokamak device was completed and delivered. The main system of the Honghuang 70 includes the vacuum chamber, cryogenic shield, and cryostat, which were developed and designed by Energy Singularity and manufactured as a whole by Shanghai Electric Nuclear Power Group. Over the past nearly one year, the two teams have worked closely together to overcome many engineering and process difficulties, completing the processing and manufacturing of the main system.
At the delivery ceremony, Energy Singularity and Shanghai Electric Nuclear Power Group signed a cooperation agreement, planning to continue to cooperate on the research and development and manufacturing of the main system for Energy Singularity’s next-generation device.
Relevant persons in charge from the Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Commission, Shanghai Municipal Nuclear Power Office, Lingang New Area Management Committee, Southwestern Institute of Physics of Nuclear Industry, and Lingang Group attended the delivery and signing ceremony.
