On the afternoon of November 12, Wang Zhigang, Standing Committee Member of the CPPCC National Committee, Vice Chairman of its Education, Science, Culture, and Health Committee, and former Party Secretary and Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, conducted a research visit to Energy Singularity. He toured the Jingtian Magnet and the HH70 tokamak device, and received a report from Yang Zhao, Founder and CEO of Energy Singularity, on the company’s operational status.
During the visit, Yang Zhao reported to Wang Zhigang on the key technological advancements achieved by Energy Singularity over the past three years. These include the successful construction and operation of the HH70, the world’s first fully high-temperature superconducting tokamak device, and the successful development of the Jingtian Magnet, the world’s highest magnetic field, large-scale high-temperature superconducting D-shaped magnet. Yang Zhao also provided an overview of the company’s ongoing research and development for its next-generation device, the HH170.
Zhai Jinguo, Vice Director of the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and other relevant responsible officials accompanied the visit.
